Hello Hello!

I want to officially invite you to be apart of the blogging you find below. They are to show a piece of my journey; what has been, what is and what is to come.
I invite you to come back and be apart of the stories, my thoughts, frustrations and laughs. I invite you to be apart of my good days and the not so good ones.
Join me as I travel to Russia, Eastern Europe and other places. Join me as I step out in faith to where I believe that God is calling me.

Babushkas

Make sure as you say the word Babuska that you put the stress on the middle syllabel baBUSHka... it is one I am corrected on often!!

Vera is a newly married young lady on the base. She has been here in YWAM Rostov about 2 years. She has a heart for the Elderly!!! A lot of the things that she has a heart for were laid aside as she was busy staffing DTS's, getting married, lack of people...etc...etc...
I have had the privilege though of seeing her ministry start again or first official time I am not sure... We go out twice a week. All we have with us is a little piece of paper with a scripture verse on them.
Grandma's and pa's are everywhere here. You will often see them gathered in the park or just sitting on a bench. They are always willing to chat usually... so that is how we are starting... just conversation. For my part there is less talking and more praying but I am working on talking to!

Please pray for Vera!!!
Pray she would be bold in approaching people and making first contact!
Pray she would step out and start putting the things on her heart into action (eg: finding out b-days and celebrating them)
Pray for more workers for this ministry... YWAM staff and Volunteers from the local church.

BYe for now
