It was 7 years ago on my birthday that he died.
These past 7 years a lot has happened! He has 4 more grandchildren making 17 in total! In these past 7 years my brother finished school and is well on his way to becoming a fully certified heavy duty mechanic. In these past 7 years - Lyddia Grace is no longer a baby but a fun, beautiful little girl who is very talented! In these past 7 years Dawson Randolph was born and is now in his 1st year of school. In these past 7 years I lived in Abbottsford, Chicago, Calgary,Perth Australia, Airdrie and Rostov on Don Russia. Before that I had only ever lived in Terrace! In these past 7 years I have gone to 12 countries. In these past 7 years - Uncle Dennis now has a family! In these past 7 years - Kate, Matthew and Jessica all graduated and are out living life on their own.
This year I learned that I had been holding on to the grief of this day. This year I let it go and it is good! God is faithful and I am learning how to hold on to Him!
This year I had a good birthday... there is sadness sure, but there is great joy for all that God has done in these past 7 years. I don't want to go back even if I could I am looking ahead to all that is coming!
