I have arrived in Perm. The farthest north and east in Russia that I have been so far!!
There is snow... everywhere. IT is like the middle of winter here, so its hard to believe that I came from Rostov where spring is well on its way.
The train journey... though long... was good. At the end I spent more and more time looking outside enjoying the passing snow covered trees and little Russian villages. I took many pictures, most of which will not make it any further then my camera. A few animals were sighted but I missed them... though the tracks in the snow were obvious.
A lady on the train (through translation) asked how I spoke to people since I can't speak Russian! I know it seems obvious and easy to answer but it has made me really think... why am I here in Russia? I think and I think... I don't have a lot of answers so I try and give it to God. Trust that he is leading me... that he is guiding my footsteps and that somewhere, somehow even though I can't communicate that well yet... I am able to be a blessing.
