Today I went to a little Georgian bakery. It was really cool. I heard about it for the first time only a couple of weeks back when we had a visitor who use to live here... i heard about it but going to see it was a completely different experience!!
I had been expecting some little trailer on the side of the road with a little window you stand at so you can yell at the lady through the window for what you want... I was pleasantly surprised!! It was a small little place but surpirsingly big inside... it had a full on bakery and even a cute little cafe... and then the store front. They had lots of choice, it was hard to decide!! In the end I went with what I had come for - khachapuri - a georgian cheese bread - if you come to Russa I will take you for some and you can try it yourself!! We also got these little waffle cone like things that were filled with this sweet meringue type thing - don't know what it was but it was tasty.
I have decided that this is where I am going to buy all my bread from now! So, I will be visiting a lot more often!
