Sergey

Just over 2 years ago a group of 4 got together to wait on God to hear what "clues" He had for them about where to go and who to talk to!
They eventually got to their intended target - a homeless man, sitting on a bench begging. They say with him and chatted. He told them that he had been waiting for them because he had had a dream the night before about 4 angels coming to save him! He had been on the streets for 10 years.  He went home with them.
Sergey lived at the centre for quite a while. He moved in during a school and he never missed a meeting. He loved being in the middle of all that was going on.
Eventually he moved to a neighbouring town where he lived in a home for older people. He visited and people visited him. He was doing well for himself... trying to restore relationship with his son and working.

This year he came to be apart of the cross cultural training school properly... he was great addition to the school. Always a servant, very ready and willing to help whether it was peeling potatoes or being our guide as we went out to minister to homeless. I did not know Sergey as well as some but what I do know is that he was quick to laugh and to help out! We will miss you Sergey but also rejoice with you as we know you are in a much better place!
