Christmas is coming

I did not realize how long it has been since I updated this blog... oops!

December is flying by and there is so much to do. Christmas shopping... more christmas shopping... baking... visiting... work...and the list can go on and on.

This morning I worked on taking a little time out to spend some quiet time. I started reading 1 corintians 13.... a chapter I have went back to a lot these past few months.

I was struck again by LOVE REJOICES WITH THE TRUTH.

Rejoice... rejoices... it was a word God gave me around my birthday in October and it has come up again and again...

To rejoice is not to be happy and joyful but just to be in faith... in faith of God's goodness. To be in faith that all things will work together for good.

So to say that love rejoices with the truth is a powerful thing. On one side it seems simple enough and easy enough. Let us not forget though how cutting truth can be. There is also all the other aspects that need to come into play here. Love is kind and patient but when the message is still hard to hear, do we rejoice with the truth?

When we are busy and or having a bad day do we rejoice with the truth of the Christmas season?
