We had an evangelistic concert this past week. We spent all this time planning and preparing for this event but God sent us something last minute to add!
We invited a singer songwriter (folk style) from a neighbouring city to come and play for the evening. He was the main event, the only event. All week long we went out and handed our invitations to those in our neighbourhood.
Friday came... we got offered some extra help and so we had a team of 16 Koreans show up to hand our invitations for the next days concert. They did not speak any Russian! They did speak some english so they used that freely! It was so much fun to walk with them, we shocked our neighbours but that's OK! They offered to perform the next day and we readily agreed.
The concert turned from a Russian folk singer to an international cultural event! The team from Korea did dances using Taekwando and using traditional instruments.
We had about 30 people come to the concert! They enjoyed themselves and we had many questions about when the next one would be... and yes there is going to be another one soon!
