I have spent the last 2 months in Canada.
It has been a wonderful time of reconnecting with family and friends.
I traveled many kilometers in a car... but I got around to all the major places I wanted to and some extras!
BUT there was not enough time to see everyone... I don't think there would be!
Here are some of the highlights of the past 2 months.
Surprising my mom and sisters by arriving a day earlier then they expected :)
Making "meat donuts" for my family
Having a Russian evening - showing off some food and having the privilege of sharing about my ministry.
Crashing into the ditch with my sisters (not fun at the time!)
Being at my great aunt's funeral
Getting locked out of the house where I was staying and having to find a hotel
Feeding the swans
Tim Hortons "rrrrooollll up the rim to win!!"
Going to the Carnival
The Botanical gardens
Seattle
Adventures with mom! - too many to name.
Those are just a few of the many things. So, now it has come time to say goodbye again to Canada. I am thinking of my packing list... the time change and what are those first things that need to be done when I get back.
The one question everyone asks... when are you coming back... I don't know!! I am hoping that it will be in 2 to 3 years.
It is true what they say - absence makes the heart grow fonder - I look around this country now and I love the beauty all around me, everything is a wonder. Though I often stop to think that if I lived here... it would not be quite the same anymore.
Journeying on....
